Checking our own math

We cross-check OpenRocket with RASAero, which models the transonic region more closely. RASAero currently predicts about 11,200 ft and a top speed near Mach 1.0. Our OpenRocket model is deliberately conservative: it assumes an unfinished surface and extra mass for epoxy, paint and hardware. We'll add ballast to land on 10,000 ft, and we plan CFD analysis near Mach 1 to refine the drag model.
